Robin and I would like to officially welcome everyone to our new blog! We are Doodle Palace digital stamps. We are located in Bryan/College Station, TX (home of the Texas Aggies WHOOP!) and we both have a tremendous passion for creating unique papercraft items. We both scrapbook and make cards using many different media to create items that are beautiful but also fun and textural. The lumpier the better! =) We have both drawn our own paper piecing patterns for our items, and still do, but thought, "What about creating stamps"? First we looked into creating actual rubber stamps but geez are they expensive, then started blog hopping and doing some internet research to find that Digital Stamps were new and people seemed to love them. Robin, being much more computer literate than I, figured out how to vectorize a hand-drawn image to create the professional looking final project that we are offering now on Etsy. It is a tedious process with nodes and bumping and ....that's all I know... =) lol!
We each have our own style and before long you will be able to tell right away which stamp was drawn by whom but we are a team and they are all Doodle Palace digital stamps! =) We are going to try really hard to create images that are versatile and can be used for many different themed items. The bears will mostly be unisex so that they can be used for boys or girls. We are not planning on putting sayings but are discussing creating doc files with sayings that you can change into whatever font you like and in any configuration to fit your project. These are just a few of the things we are working on at the moment.
We will be adding new images every week. It will depend on just how much we have been able to create each week as to how many images will be added, but 2 seems like a nice round number right now. We are also planning to have bloggy give aways. So, for following and linking our blog to yours, you will be given a FREE image to play with! Cool, huh?
Please come back and visit again! We will have lots more to add in the next few days and we will also post detailed instructions on any technique we think you may find interesting, from Blender Pens, to Watercolor Crayons to Copic Markers and Mineral Spirits. See Ya Soon!
